As you may know, State governments in Nigeria and some part of the world have allowed businesses, public markets and individual relations to re-open after months of lock-down and in some places there’s an ease of lock-down. But! they still keep the churches closed and in some states, they places rules that will make it impossible to practice your faith, like; you can’t take communion, Pastors cannot lay hands on members without gloves and children and young people shouldn’t go to church.
The Christian associations in Nigeria, have even joined the government to enforce church bans and arrest pastors who open churches in some states.
What do you think,
Is this the sign of the end-time?
Is this the reason Jesus said, many Christians will betray the faith?
Isn’t it the strategy of the Devil?
Is it just a normal procedure?

It’s all wrong, the virus is peaking and we need to be protected and safe, this is not the way, everywhere should be locked down to be honest but what can we do, Nigerians themselves don’t follow lockdown rules
No it isn’t right, the church is also a public place and infact the truth is the market places are usually more crowded and closed contact with people than the church, the churches should be opened too.
It’s very wrong for churches to be banned from having church services while markets are left open.
First of all history and record has proven that the Church ⛪ is a place where people receive healings. So why closing up churches where people could go to and receive their healing for free.
Secondly the church is a place where people go to and receive God’s word which is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. Little wonder we have many rape cases arising because people don’t hear God’s word like they used to before. The online church cannot take the place of the physical church, no never.
Thirdly the Market Place is were we have large and numerous number of people from different part of the state even other states gathered together. Social distancing can never be achieved in the market never, other guidelines also might not really be adhered to. I see no reason why markets will be left open and churches left closed.
There are no data base for the people that visited the market but the church is structured in such a way that everyone that came to church can be accounted for no matter how big the church is.
Fourthly what people need is the word of God and an environment that can help them build their faith.
Nigerians needs to be safe, we need to be protected at every angle, our government needs to do better for us, they just need to do better.
It could be nothing farther from the truth friends, this is nothing but an Anti-Christ and Anti-Church agenda.
I have observed with my own eyes, even in the national and global TV news media how government staff and politicians hold meetings with extremely close range and crowded gatherings with no one calling them out. The only watch is on the church.
Political leaders were shown on Channels TV in a room with no distancing between those in a meeting. Will you speak of the past gubernatorial candidate primaries? What about the fact that markets are open daily with crowds thronging them?
It is absolutely irrational that they would claim that people are not likely to contact Covid19 in such environments except in a church where people often gather for no more than two, three or four hours weekly.
I am disappointed that even church leaders were cohorted into this. They must rise up make right their wrongs and campaign that such laws or guidelines be abolished as soon as right away.
It is wrong for the government to allow the operation of market place and yet ban the opening of churches
Firstly, the ban of churches from opening has increased a lot of rape incidence of rape, people who are growing Christians tend to heed to the word of God, as they continue to find themselves in church, also the rate of domestic violence has increased, it is when couples go to church and have a personal contact with the pastor that things are deeply trashed out. Though not in all cases, we have more of depressed people that just want to get eased by going to church.
Don’t forget the Bible says”.Do not forsake the gatherering of brethren, it implies that when people have contato the building or the place of worship, their heart pricks them but now we all have to visit the church online, and people are backsliding and no longer afraid because their is no pastor to chatise them not knowing that living your life is for God and not pleasing your pastor, these are for young growing Christians.
Secondly, there are more reasons not to even visit church online, Netflix is an enemy, takes people time, zeeworld is a troubler of nations as it engulfs a man’s Mind if care is not taken. People wake up early to church, but now wake up late to watch online service. “Peoples conscience are dying daily, they no longer have time to study their bible, don’t forget, do not forsake the gatherering of the brethren, it’s a key word, it has impact on individual.
Additionally, some people no longer want to give to God as they see it that they are giving it to their pastors, Malachi 3verse1-10.
Many Christians are robing God now, and they are at ease.
The Bible said in Zachariah, as they increased so their sin increased the more, people have forgotten God in one area or the other, when you give to God, it’s for your own benefit, not a pastor but a young believer, I pray God help us all….
In summary, righteousness exalt a nation, God understands when He said that His place of worship should be in Jerusalem, He knew what He is saying. God cannot be mocked, a man will reap whatever he does.
Also a nation that forgets God will soon perish
Government stopping Church from opening and yet open market is not the right decision, because market has population than Church, secondly Covid-19 can spread rapidly in the market because people behaves so carelessly there, especially those elderly People.
So i think church should be the first place to open before any other place.
My Opinion
First of all what is a church?
The church is the body of Christ,and the Bible said that where two or more are gathered he his there in their midst..Also the Bible also said to us that we should strictly obey the law in the book of Romans,and prayer and supplication should be offered to our rulers in Timothy…..
Now every ruler has a reason for his or her decision
I don’t see anything wrong with the ban of churches opening because every true Christian should know that the church cannot be taken from him…..
There is more risk in people contacting corona virus in the church ,because of the following reasons
1 we tend to take our faith higher than our normal reasoning in the church….
It will not be of a surprise if a Christian would tell you that he/she did not wear a face mask because he believes that The power of Christ is in him,so corona virus cannot come near him….
If it is so…..why don’t we Christians stand in the middle of the road and say that an upcoming vehicle cannot hurt us because we have the power of God,or pick a knife and stab ourselves and say the spirit of God is in us and we can’t bleed to death,there is a big difference between putting God to a test and having faith,if we can serve God at home and stay safe then why must we have a large gathering during this period?
The market is totally different from the church.
We can’t survive without this daily food items or necessaries like sanitary pads,bathing soap and others.secondaly some people make their living by trading….there is a lame woman in my area she can’t do the normal activities we do,but she can trade in the market so why do we compare the closing of churches to this.
We should note this,that the building is not the church,but me and you….we can survive with Christ anywhere but we can’t most of these our market business at home,because we can’t carry it up and down…..but as Christians we carry Christ everywhere……
Daniel should be an example to you,
Even though the worshipping of other Gods were banned,daniel still opened his windows and prayed to the Lord Almighty,he didn’t question the king,or argue things out,no matter how close he was to a king…..
Lastly…..if I want to stop a business like a drink business like let’s say mineral ,and increase my own business…..I can just spread information that I found someone putting in urine in the mineral,and everyone will stop drinking it.
The same way,the devil is using many plots to stop the church,but he can’t,he can close the buildings,but he can’t close the church,which is me and you.
